Yes, the specifications floating around for the last two weeks were accurate, this camera slots in above the EOS 20D but below the EOS-1D series with its full-frame (35 mm negative size) 12.8 megapixel CMOS sensor. Other key specifications; 3.0 fps continuous shooting, spot metering, custom settings mode, Picture Style The 7D goes to crazy-high ISOs, but like all small-sensor cameras, the images look awful above about ISO 3,200. Technically and for large prints, the Canon 5D Mark II is in a completely different class than the 7D. If you worry about these things, you deserve the 5D Mark II. If I shot small-frame Canon DSLRs, this is the camera.
